Geoff writes: This shows the scene at about 3.17, just as a particularly fierce squall hits, driving Torbay's lee gunports under water so that "we were oblig'd to fling the ship up in the wind" to avoid the very fate that was shortly to befall the French Thésee and then Superbe (who drove their lee gunports under, were too slow to take action, filled with water and sank). To the right, Dorsetshire, Warspite, and Resolution are in action with the rear squadron of the French line, including that squadron's flagship Formidable.
